The Farming Game is a fun peek at what it might be like to be a farmer! Up to 6 players get a chance to be a part-time farmer. Each player in The Farming Game must carefully manage his or her money to cover the costs of running the family farm. Every farmer must plant crops such as wheat, hay, or corn. Fruit orchards are expensive, but can pay off well with a good harvest. Grazing cattle on your own pasture or leased ridge lands can be risky, but the rewards can be worth it. The Farming game includes all the fun of being a farmer and all the troubles of acquiring equipment, bank loans, failed crops, in the struggle to become financially independent.
The Farming Game is simple enough to be fun for the whole family, but includes enough challenge to captive the interest of all ages. Even though The Farming Game is recommended for ages 10 and up, Betheny (age 9) and the older children love it. James (age 5) wants a partner to play with him to help with the money so he can win again.
